The LIFE Program offered by international CNVC-certified trainer Robert Gonzales includes four week-long intensive trainings in 2 years. The first two intensives focus on internal practices such as "Transforming the Pain of Unmet Needs and Dwelling in the Beauty of Needs" and "Compassionately Embracing Life." These processes are included in The Welcoming LIFE Program, our local version of the LIFE Program.
The new lcoal Communicating LIFE Program gives participants a taste of what Robert offers in the second year of the LIFE Program, focusing on relational practices. We continue deepening our connection with life while focusing on authentic dialogue: expressing honestly and compassionately under two of the most challenging situations—(1) when someone has done something that has triggered pain in us and (2) when we have done something that has triggered pain in someone else. Robert’s work continues to evolve and I will be sharing his new insights and processes as they develop and I integrate them into my own life.
I am fortunate to be part of the small international team that is working with Robert Gonzales to clarify and document his body of work…the Living Compassion Network. I will share with all of my programs insights I gain from working with this team.
The requested tuition for the Communicating LIFE Program is $200-$400 for each intensive (sliding scale based on the highest amount each registrant can contribute easily and joyfully). Registration for each workshop is independent of the other, and payment plans can be arranged for those needing them to participate.
This an advanced NVC program and is designed for people who have already attended the Welcoming LIFE Program (you are invited to apply for the next session of the Welcoming LIFE Program, if you have met the prior experience pre-requisites). To enhance intimacy and the depth of processing, enrollment for the Communicating LIFE Program is limited to 12 people.
Please send an email to Lynd Morris right away if you’d like to learn more about this opportunity to deepen your experience of NVC consciousness.

Juggling commitments at work and with families and friends, as well as needs for rest and renewal, it can become increasingly challenging to welcome the opportunities we encounter in our lives unless we are connected to what it is that gives us life: the vitality and nourishment present at the center of our longings.
Connecting to the living energy that manifests as needs and then learning how to integrate and embody this energy in our daily lives is at the heart of a series of practices developed by international NVC trainer Robert Gonzales as part of the transformational LIFE Program he began leading in 2006 and now offers in Europe as well as the United States. LIFE is an acronym Robert uses for Living and Integrating, Full Embodiment.
But not as many people who want to attend the LIFE Program can afford to take time off for several retreats each year or make the financial commitment to attend a residential program that may be far from home. In 2010, Robert and I created the Welcoming LIFE Program, a series of local workshops that give commuters the chance to taste the same practices Robert offers through his LIFE Program, at a fraction of the cost in time or money.
I led the Welcoming LIFE Program (WLP) twice in 2010 and will offer it again in 2012. In experimenting with ways to make this program increasingly accessible to those who want to participate in it, I have modified its format for 2012 so we will meet for 2 weekend trainings, with one or more teleconference calls held between these workshops and with weekly empathy sessions (by telephone or in person) among participants.
Both workshops will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The dates of each workshop and the date/time of the teleconference call(s) will be determined by those enrolling using an online poll.
Please note: Enrolling in this program is dependent on committing to attend both workshops for the full time of each workshop, barring unexpected or unavoidable emergencies.
The requested tuition for the Welcoming LIFE Program is $400-$800 (sliding scale based on the highest amount each registrant can contribute easily and joyfully). Payment plans can be arranged for those needing them to participate.
This an intermediate-advanced NVC program and is designed for people who have already attended more than 25 hours of formal NVC training, with more than 6 months of practicing NVC at work/home. To enhance intimacy and the depth of processing, enrollment in the Welcoming LIFE Program will be limited.
Please send an email to me, Lynd Morris, if you’d like to receive an application for this program or would like to learn more about this opportunity to deepen your experience of NVC consciousness. I will be away from my computer from August 27th to September 9th, but will send you an application as soon as I return.

This immersion program is designed for people who are NVC beginners as well as for those familiar with NVC principles who would like support in turning these into a daily lived reality. We will meet for workshops on alternating weekends for 8 weeks, for a total of 5 full- or half-day workshops (see time listing, above). During these trainings we will learn and practice basic NVC skills and become fluent in hearing and speaking what Marshall Rosenberg, NVC’s creator, calls “the language of the heart.”

We will explore compassionate communication through all of our senses, and our processes will include active play as well as quiet internal work. NVC is a way of communicating that its creator, Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., calls a language of life. As we learn and practice NVC, we become increasingly able to hear the vitality and aliveness in others and in ourselves. And simultaneously, we finding ourselves living with greater compassion and curiosity toward everyone we encounter.
Many people who read about Nonviolent Communication (NVC) or hear about it from a relative, friend, or colleague are heartened by how simple it sounds. What could be challenging about including observations, feelings, needs, and requests in our communications? However, what most of us discover when we begin to incorporate these four components into our conversations with others (especially when one or both of us is upset), is that simple to learn is not always easy to live.
One of the most effective ways to learn NVC and begin to live it, is to spend time with other people who are doing the same thing. In this introduction to NVC, we’ll use large and small group exercises as well as partner practices to explore the basic tools of this transformational way of being in relationship with others. And, we'll practice applying these tools to situations from our own lives.
