Capitol NVC offers the Bulletin Board as a service to those who have participated in Capitol NVC events and who support our mission. If you would like to publicize an NVC-related offering or need, submit your announcement by using our contact form and specifying a Category of "Bulletin Board Announcements". Please include a phone number and email address.

Capitol NVC does not endorse the services offered.

• The Human Support Group
  Where: In Takoma Park, MD (contact the organizer for the address)
  When: the 2nd and 4th Wednesday nights of every month, 7:00 pm - 9:00 p.m.
  What: The Takoma Park Human Support Group is forming. We have at least three goals:
  - to practice being in touch with our feelings and needs
  - to provide empathy, support and compassion
  - and to help us to relate with others in ways we find most fulfilling.

  Format: The format of this interactive group will be determined largely by those present and their needs in the moment. This could include giving and receiving empathy, role-plays, practicing Nonviolent Communication (NVC) principles, discussing and practicing gentle parenting methods such as Parent Effectiveness Training, Parenting by Connection, and other exercises brought to the group by those present.

  Children and Parents Welcome - We recognize the challenges for parents seeking support and practice to better meet their values and intentions in parenting. We plan to offer FREE childcare at these sessions so parents can more easily attend along with their children.

  We are seeing renewed interest in forming an NVC practice group in Baltimore. If you're interested in participating in this activity, please respond as soon as possible. • Giraffe-eared Spiritual Direction by Anna Gilcher

  Are you hungry to bring your NVC consciousness into your journey with God in an intentional way? Are you longing for someone to witness your journey and "see you beautiful" in the context of your faith life? As a spiritual director, my intention is to hold sacred space for God's spirit to move through; to do this, I bring together my experience with contemplative practices and my own work with NVC.
